We conduct research with educators, students, and families so that our clients (EdTech companies) can design their products to better meet the real needs of people like you.
Unlike typical market research, most of our design research studies focus on how you do things. We watch users in action so that we can help our clients take the pain points out of their products or create new ones.
All of our studies are for research purposes only; we never attempt to pitch or sell our clients' products to you.
What happens in a research session?
While the sessions vary in structure, many are 60-minute interviews conducted via web conference.
We also conduct in-person interviews at participants' homes or at meeting centers in major metro areas. Occasionally, we conduct longitudinal studies that may ask participants to record snippets of feedback (on their phones) over a length of time, such as a few days or weeks.
During a session, we may ask you to try out software or a software prototype and share with us what makes sense to you or what doesn't. We also often ask you to describe your current context and workflows so that our clients can learn about the needs of various students and teachers.
We will advise you of the session type before you agree to join a particular study.
Your Info and Privacy
Our clients often need to learn from particular audience segments, so we collect information through the form below to help determine participant fit for each study. We may use this information to contact you and ask follow-up questions to further qualify you for the study. This form is completely voluntary.
Research with Kids and Teens
We conduct in-person design research studies with K-12 students and families across the U.S. If you are a parent or legal guardian of a student, you may sign up as a contact and use the optional message box (below) to let us know that your child is interested in participating. For privacy purposes, we do not allow anyone under 18 to sign up directly. Note, too, that you or another legal guardian will need to be present for the duration of the session.
